Expedition Medical Consultancy
Build medical planning into the expedition while there is still time to shape the itinerary and support.
Discuss Your PlansThe Experience
The planning stage is where many useful medical decisions begin. We help organisers think through the relationship between the activity, environment, people, communications and access to further care.
Who It’s For
Expedition leaders, operations teams and remote productions who need help defining medical support before departure.
What Could Be Arranged
- A review of the proposed itinerary and medical support assumptions.
- Discussion of equipment, communications and access to care.
- An outline of escalation and evacuation arrangements for the programme.
- Advice on the level of practitioner or training appropriate to the brief.
How We Plan It
Start with a clear description of the expedition and the support already planned. We identify questions to resolve, discuss realistic options and agree the documents or planning input needed for the next stage.
Practical Arrangements
The consultancy scope and deliverables are agreed for the project. It does not automatically include deployment of a medic, individual fitness-to-travel clearance, regulatory approval or a guarantee of rescue availability.
