Guided Climbing
A guided route chosen for your experience, from a UK crag to a longer alpine objective.
Discuss Your PlansThe Experience
Sometimes you want to climb a route with an experienced professional rather than book a structured course. Guided climbing puts the mountain day at the centre: choosing an appropriate objective, making progress together and adapting the plan to the conditions.
Who It’s For
Climbers who want a private partnership, a first experience of a particular style of route or support on a longer objective. Previous experience and the demands of the route are discussed before booking.
What Could Be Arranged
- Single- or multi-pitch rock routes at an appropriate venue.
- Scrambling and mountain rock journeys with suitable support.
- Alpine objectives with the guiding arrangements matched to the terrain.
- A linked series of days, allowing the objective to develop with your confidence.
How We Plan It
We start with the type of climbing you enjoy, the routes you have completed and the amount of time you have. A proposed objective is paired with alternatives so that the day remains worthwhile if conditions change.
Practical Arrangements
Guide-to-client arrangements, personal equipment, travel, lifts and any hut nights depend on the route. Guiding and instruction can overlap in practice, but a skills syllabus is agreed separately if learning is your main aim.
